Standard Fixed Fees: We offer a spectrum of family law services, catering to a variety of needs with our standard rate structure designed for standard cases. We recognize, however, that family law matters can evolve, necessitating a more customized approach. In such instances, where the scope of work extends beyond the initial parameters, clients may incur additional fees. These additional charges could stem from unique customization needs, more extensive legal consultations, an increase in the complexity or time dedication to the case, etc. For cases necessitating tailored solutions or dealing with intricate legal matters, individualized fee quotations will be furnished.
Notice of Fee Adjustment: Clients should also be aware that changes to the scope of work, after the initial retainer agreement, may result in additional fees. This approach is essential as customized or complex cases often demand heightened legal expertise, comprehensive consultations, and increased dedication of time to accurately address the unique needs and preferences of our clients. Our aim at Woodstone Law is to offer premier legal services at competitive rates, ensuring that our clients feel assured and content with the support provided, especially in the vital domain of family law. Should there be a need to adjust our fees, clients will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any changes.
Legal Expenses and Disbursements: Beyond our professional fees, clients are responsible for all incurred expenses and disbursements, applicable regardless of the file’s or case’s outcome. These costs may include, but are not limited to document delivery or courier fees, court filing fees, government fees, and necessary searches. In addition to our fees and expenses, clients are also obliged to cover any applicable Harmonized Sales Tax (HST).
